—to be seen yet remain hidden.

It is when I realized that to love You is more than attending church every week
to love You is more than thousands of verbal I love yous
to love You is more than praying for something and then keep worrying about it
to love You is more than the moments I remember You and run to You just because I’m upset, that when the situations are fine I can’t even speak Your name
because to love You means to offer my own life, my own wants
to love You means to forgive those who caused me pain, those who did me wrong—and release the grudges inside me
to love You means I’ll take up my own cross and follow You
to love You means to love people the same way as I love myself
to love You means to hold You through the storm
to love You means to obey You even when it means to walk in the water or fire, or to go inside the lion’s den
to love You means I’ll keep my arms up high in heaven even when it gets numb from doing so
to love You means I will hold into Your promises even when my eyes can’t reach it, even when the situation seems like going in the opposite way
to love You means to wait, to be patient with Your plans, and to let go of my past
to love You means “I will swallow my pride” just to be near You
to love You also means to be passionate on expanding Your kingdom
And to love You is more than just flowery empty words, because to love You means to trust You in every way and to choose You every day.
