—to be seen yet remain hidden.

I am afraid of touching another person’s brokenness
I am afraid that i will make them worse
I am afraid that I will not meet their needs
I am afraid to make them feel safe and then leave; I don’t trust myself on keeping people
I am afraid they might drift away
I am afraid of getting along with another soul
I am afraid that their scars will lead to bleeding, again.
I am afraid that brokenness will lead to much worse—destruction.
