You are beautiful—referring to the outside appearance—compliments are overrated. That’s not an oddity at all. You know what will make my heart explode? To hear something like, “You inspire me” “You seem so mysterious, I want to know you more” “I love how you express yourself through writing” Well, these are compliments.
Don’t get me wrong, I know we all wanted to be beautiful in another soul’s perspective but don’t we prefer more to make others see that we are more than what meets their eyes? That this outside beauty is fleeting but the beauty that hides within us is everlasting. That sometimes people are too focused on our external body, they forget that we are human too— which has depths.
If you have been reading my writings for quite some time, you know I often say this—that humans are like an ocean. They are more than the surface. More than what meets our eyes. That you’ll not know them unless you dive in—to their depths—in which there you’ll find gripping discoveries and poignant truths.
Don’t give yourself too fast to anyone let them risk their hearts to dive into your beauty and from there, you will know who are those who are deserving to be part of your life—those who are willing to get lost and be drowned to your depths—and discover what truly makes you beautiful. You are beautiful.
